Artichokes, with love

The bride loved artichokes, so for her rehearsal dinner they were woven into every centerpiece. Dark wood farm tables and an organic ceiling treatment set the scene, while the sculptural face pots turned the table into something between a garden and gallery.

A Revolutionary Fourth

A Fourth of July dinner party with a Hamilton twist. Mirrored tabletops caught the clouds drifting overhead, so guests dined beneath the sky twice — once above, once below. Watercolor fireworks on every menu card carried the holiday through the napkin chosen for how it could be folded to accommodate the festive display.

THE RINK, REIMAGINED

Over a year of planning and a little over a week to transform an Olympic-sized ice skating rink into an event space. A round bar anchored the room, with hanging tubes catching the light above it and greenery and flowers cascading down. The theme was black and green — dramatic, moody, and completely unrecognizable from the ice that was there before.

WHO IS DSTY?

(D-UH-S-TEE) DUSTY

A CREATIVE AGENCY FOR RESIDENCES, OFFICES, BRANDS, EVENTS & MORE

I am Dustin Rourke aka Dusty. I have been in the creative industry for the last 20 years. Anything DSTY Design touches is Dusty — a showcase of what I do: the work, the people, the things. From residences to offices, events to florals, tablescapes to your yard, I believe in functional creativity. Creativity does not mean losing functionality — everything can be imaginative and still work beautifully. From the flow of the event, to the right amount of flowers — everything contributes. Based in Michigan - DSTY Design can help you anywhere in the world, just reach out!

Florists sell flowers. Planners sell logistics. Dustin sells the vision. DSTY executes.

RESIDENCES & OFFICES

Your home and workspace should feel like you. I style interiors with intention — color, texture, and objects that make a space feel considered, personal, and alive.

EVENT DESIGN

From intimate dinners to large-scale productions, I design events that feel effortless and look unforgettable. Every detail is intentional, every moment captured.

FLORAL & TABLESCAPE ARTISTRY

Flowers and tables are the canvas. DSTY creates arrangements and tablescapes that transform a room and make gatherings feel like occasions.

YARDS & OUTDOOR SPACES

Your yard is a room without walls. I design outdoor spaces with the same care as interiors — layered, inviting, and built to be lived in.
